Marie-Hélène Corbin

PRESIDENT AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF IGEM
PROFESSOR AT EGM
GEMMOLOGIST appraiser AT THE iGEM CENTRE

Marie-Hélène is a certified gemmologist and Accredited Senior Gemmologist by the AGA.
She has worked as a buyer for private individuals in gemstone and jewellery auctions.

In 2016, she took over the reins of EGM, which she has been leading and developing ever since.

Faced with certain realities in the gem market world, she then created the first independent gem identification laboratory in Quebec: LLG (Lelièvre Laboratoire de Gemmologie) and then the Gemstone and Jewellery Appraisal Centre.

These three entities were grouped together in 2021 to form the iGEM (Institut de Gemmologie de Montréal).

Her objectives are to promote gemmology and to actively participate in the recognition of this discipline, whether through teaching or the authentication and appraisal of gems and jewellery.

The Appraisal Center can count on the rigor, precision, discretion and efficiency that Marianne has demonstrated throughout her training.
