IGEM Gemmology Certificates

The IGEM Gemmology Certificate is a four-level course designed to provide jewelry professionals (salespeople, designers, store managers) and enthusiasts alike with essential knowledge of precious and semi-precious stones.

With its hands-on approach and IGEM’s experience (school, laboratory, expertise), this course is a real asset for gaining credibility and boosting your career in the world of jewelry.

• Complete the entire curriculum (4 levels + practical workshops) and obtain the IGEM Certificate
• Or take one or more levels, depending on your needs. A certificate is issued for each module certificate of achievement

The program consists of 4 levels of 15 weeks each, with 3 hours of lessons per week at the end of the day. Two practical workshops (diamonds & pearls) complete the program.

Allow 12 to 18 months to complete the course at your own pace.

• No prerequisites to start Gemmology 1
• Continuous assessment at each level (≥ 65%)
• Training available face-to-face in Montreal

• Completion of all 4 levels + Diamond workshop + Pearl workshop
• Achieve a minimum of 65% at each level
• Pass a final exam consisting of : 120 theoretical questions (grade ≥ 70%)
• Practical identification of 10 gems (7/10 minimum)

The final price of the Certificate is the sum of the prices of all courses and workshops =. 3700$

Please note: Prices are before taxes – GST (5%) and QST (9.975%). Payment can be made in one lump sum or module by module.
